Video Recording:

Select either 1080p HD at 100 fps, or 720p at 180 fps. The ShotKam's accelerometer registers forces to tell it when to record and when not to record. Once the action of the gun is closed, the ShotKam begins recording a video through a memory buffer. If the acceletometer registers a recoil, then it saves the video to the memory card. If there is no recoil, then it dismisses the video.

Wi-Fi:

4x faster built-in Wi-Fi allows you to connect the ShotKam to any iPad / Tablet / Smartphone while in the field (no other Wi-Fi source needed). Go ahead and instantly share your shots on social media right from your phone. 

Waterproof:

Fully waterproof when rear cap is on to protect the USB port.

Mounting Systems:

Comes with a 12G bracket, but we also have 20G, 28G, .410, or 12G side-by-side brackets available.

Material:

Housing material and mounting brackets are aircraft-grade aluminum.

Target Settings (Adjustable):
For Clays:
  • Records: 2 seconds pre-shot, 1 second post-shot
  • Sleep Mode: After 20 seconds of inactivity
For Flying Birds:
  • Records: 3 seconds pre-shot, 3 seconds post-shot
  • Sleep Mode: After 60 seconds of inactivity
For Ground Game:
  • Records: 6 seconds pre-shot, 20 seconds post-shot
  • Sleep Mode: After 300 seconds of inactivity
For Paper Targets:
  • Records: 2 seconds pre-shot, 1 second post-shot
  • Sleep Mode: After 60 seconds of inactivity
Recording Time (Adjustable):
“SHORT” recording time = HALF of the normal recording time
“NORMAL” recording time:

Clays = 2 seconds pre-shot, 1 seconds post-shot

Flying Birds = 3 seconds pre-shot, 3 seconds post-shot

Ground Game = 6 seconds pre-shot, 20 seconds post-shot

Paper Targets = 2 seconds pre-shot, 1 seconds post-shot

“LONG” recording time = TWICE the normal recording time

 

Battery:

ShotKam 2018 has a 30% increased battery life. The internal battery which is rechargeable via the USB port and cannot be accessed directly. The life-expectancy is 3 years and a battery replacement costs $40.

Battery Life in Normal Shooting Mode (not Wi-Fi):

Clay Shooting: 5 - 6 hours

Hunting: 5 - 6 hours (produces longer videos)

Battery Life in Wi-Fi Mode:

Typically 1 hour.

NOTE: The Wi-Fi mode is for adjusting the ShotKam's settings and for “in the field” shot-analysis of problematic targets.

Battery Charging:

Charge the ShotKam using the USB cable (provided) to a computer. A solid red LED indicated a full charge (takes about 2 hours).

Laser:

Class II laser device. The laser is designed as a training tool to aid shooters with their mounting technique while indoors (with an unloaded gun). Please see our Laser Tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

NOTE: The laser is NOT the reticle (red dot in the videos)
